Individual Therapy In Seattle
My Approach to Therapy
People come to therapy for many different reasons. You might be feeling confused, disoriented, or lost—unsure of who you are or what you want. You might be struggling with anxiety, depression, grief and loss, or difficulties in relationships. You might feel disconnected from yourself or find yourself repeating patterns that no longer work. Wherever you are in your journey, I will meet you there with curiosity and kindness.
How I work
We'll pay attention to what's unfolding in the present moment. I'll help you notice things you might be missing—tension in your body, feelings you're pushing away, moments when you disconnect from yourself, and the patterns in what you do and how you do it.
We'll slow down together and get curious about your process: how you actually experience things as they're happening.
This work is collaborative. I'm not here to fix you or tell you who you should be. My role is to help you develop awareness so you can make genuine choices about how you want to live and relate to others. This approach works best when you're willing to stay curious about your experience, even when it's uncomfortable.
You'll discover things about yourself through experiencing them—through noticing your breath, body, and feelings as they happen—not just through talking about them. As awareness grows, you'll find yourself making choices that feel more genuinely yours, moving toward greater wholeness and contentedness.
What to expect
Sessions are conversational and grounded in present-moment awareness. We'll talk, but we'll also pause frequently to notice what's happening in your body and emotions.
