About Me
I was born and raised in Seattle; I love living here. I received my undergraduate degree from The Evergreen State College with a study emphasis in Cultural Anthropology. I have always enjoyed learning about other cultures and have been priviledged to have traveled to 52 countries. I went on to receive my masters degree in Psychology from Antioch University, Seattle. It was during my internship at, Ruth Dykeman Youth and Family Services, where I discovered my interest in working with couples and families. I then dedicated my practice to serving couples. I am committed to ongoing education and research into the art and science of relationship counseling. In addition to psychotherapy my hobbies include: Skiing, hiking, basketball, scuba diving, guitar, percussion, and traveling. Theoretical Orientation
I am a Gestalt Therapist in ongoing post-graduate training at Gestalt Associates Training Los Angeles. In addition to Gestalt theory my work as a couple and family therapist is also influenced by the research of John Gottman, Susan Johnson's Emotionally Focused Family Therapy, Dan Wile's Non Traditional Approach, Mindfullness, Maitri, and Family Systems Therapies. I work collaboratively and respectfully with couples, helping them to develop mutual support and understanding. Together we will change the built-in interactive habits and introduce new cycles of interaction that cultivate a secure bond. Credentials
